RT-342 RAPIDCRETE is a liquid, micro-silica based admixture to produce concrete that permanently bonds to existing concrete, is non-shrink and develops high-early strength.
RT-342 RAPIDCRETE is effective in permanently patching and overlaying damaged concrete. RT-342 RAPIDCRETE can be used for thin overlays or full depth pours. Concrete made with RT-342 RAPIDCRETE may be top coated with an ROCK-TRED coating after 24 to 48 hours depending upon mix design and temperature. This concrete also results in high early strength allowing most vehicular traffic four hours after curing. Specific uses for the RT-342 RAPIDCRETE are intended for bridge and highway surfaces, industrial plant floors, equipment supports, parking garage decks, wastewater treatment plants, chemical and petroleum secondary containment systems and pump bases, and many others. RT-342 RAPIDCRETE is for use only on unpainted, non-coated concrete that has been properly cleaned and prepared. RT-342 RAPIDCRETE Modified Concrete can be prepared in buckets, portable mixers, or batch trucks.
Ratios and Instructions
NEW POURS: Add a minimum 4 gallons of RT-342 per yard of concrete in place of same amount of water. Mix for 100 revolutions and pour/finish normally. PATCHING: mix cement/sand in 1:2.5 ratio. Presoak area to be patched for 30 minutes. Mix 7 parts water to 1 part RT-342. Do a bond coat by applying neat cement to patch area and wet with RT-342 water solution. Work thoroughly into concrete with a stiff brush. Do not allow to dry. Add sufficient RT-342 solution to produce desired consistency of concrete. NON-SHRINK GROUT: Mix sand/ cement in a 1:2.5 ratio. Presoak area to be patched for 120 minutes. Mix 7 parts water to one part RT-342. Add sufficient RT-342 solution to produce a stiff grout or the desired consistency.
- Shake well before use
- Use only type 1 or 3 portland cement
- Do not incorporate additional water into the concrete to increase flow or ease of troweling.
- After pour, immediately begin wet-curing using RT-342 with plastic or wet burlap.
Be sure that all application tools and equipment (including cleaning buckets, mops, scrubbers, etc.) are thoroughly rinsed and cleaned using standard soap and water.
